I haven't reallllly seen Blade Runner either

Postby TheCuban1 » Sun Jun 27, 2010 11:25 pm

So funny story, I know a few of you lot haven't seen Blade Runner. I had added Blade Runner months ago on my Netflix queue. And then I heard that Back to Earth was coming so I put it at the top of my list. Well, It wasn't out yet so whatever was below it got sent first. Anyway Blade Runner came and it was taking me forever to watch it cause it was so boring and slow! I ended up sending it back like halfway through watching it cause Back to Earth had been released. So I watched BtE and I thought "Smeg! I should have finished watching Blade Runner. I bet this would make more sense then!"
Oh well, maybe i'll try and trudge through it again someday :-)

The ending alone is worth sticking with it

That's one of those things like Dark Side of the Moon sync's up perfect with the Wizard of Oz or Alien is all about man's fear of the birth it's all bo1ox made up by critics to add some mystique to the film.

For me Final Cut feels right so i'd go with that one, but loved the idea of Decker's voice over narrative in the original it made a little film noir

Isn't that the original books storyline?. Also, Ridley Scott himself has stated often that he is...

Ugh... Michael Bay.

i don't usually mind slowish movies but for some reason this one dragged. Maybe it was whatever kind of mood I was in at the time. Who knows. I promise to give it another shot if only for getting more of the Back to Earth references.

But, I will admit I am a modern young buck, with all the impatient tendencies inherent in being 28 years old in this modern era.
