For me, it's got to be Confidence and Paranoia.

The visual representation of your good/bad side I think is fantastic !

I've seen this episode so many times.

Favourite line in that one has to be
CONFIDENCE: Ever! It's so deep! All the images! The dwindling, the
kindling, all the -indling! I love all that stuff! When I think
there's fast buck merchants like Bee-toven and Mozart out there
grabbing all the publicity and here's you, writing pieces of that
caLEEber, it makes me feel weak.

I just thought the pilot was fantastic it saw it when it 1st aired, and instantly fell in love with the show, always remember two things which had me laughing, Lister going around eating half the crew and Holly having to tell lister over and over again that everyone was dead

Also miss the monalogs Holly gave before each episode in series 1 & 2, it seemed a shame not to continue them, on through the other series

Whenever I'm showing Red Dwarf to someone new, I start with the first episode. I think it's the perfect first episode to a show. Lots of other shows just start, but this really explains everything extremely well. Plus, it's hilarious. I love when Lister's talking to the captain before being put into stasis.

But my favorite of the series is Me². Chris Barrie figured out how to have great comic timing while talking to nobody, I guess. I don't know how they recorded it, exactly. But it turned out great.
