Kinect

Postby D5120 » Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:55 pm

Sorry I haven't been on for a while, been kinda busy.

One of the factors that's been keeping me entertained is the Kinect.

I have wrote a full review over on my ub3rg33k.co.uk site, but have say I love it !

I've only got the Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Dance Central for it, but it works really well...and give you a decent workout.

Giz, I noticed from Raptr you have one too, what do you think ?

Nah, they'd work really well, easy enough to pick up :)

Only thing I would say, is make sure you have enough room. Realistically you need about a 3 metre square in front of you TV.

Do you really need your tv placed quite high?

Nah, my kinect is literally a foot off the floor (probably why I need the 3 metres)

I mean the TV just when i see them a think my tv quite low, i always think if im stood up looking at the screen i would want my tv set higher on the wall or i would get neck ache looking down.

Theres a question what is the correct hight for a tv to be off the ground?

ps i just noticed the fon t think on the side, nice ive not seen that so obvious on any forum i go on. I like! whos idea was that?

The base of my TV is around a foot off the ground, however seems the perfect hight when I'm sat on the sofa.

With the kinect, it seems ok at that height, and works fine :)

Love it finally got it hooked up to my Xbox as it was on my mates, i'd say mines about a 2 ft off the ground and works fine Got Kinect Adventures, Dance Central, Kinect Sports, Fighters Uncaged (Really need some room for this one!), Kinectimals, and Joyride.

Dance Central is good at party's and Kinect Sports is good too, Joy Ride is a bit borderline, it needs some more good games to come out for it but that'll follow soon enough, also think the voice control is a fantastic option lets you multi-task a bit more you can go though the menu looking for films or game downloads all whilst writing a post for a forum like I am now.
