Wedding reading

Postby Scrapps » Sun Apr 25, 2010 10:00 pm

I hope somebody here can help me.

My fiancee and I would really like to have a reading from Red Dwarf at our wedding, as we are both fans. However, despite me having seen every episode several times, no particular passage springs to mind.

Now I don't believe there isn't a suitable one in the reams of scripts or books. And I figured this forum might have the appropriate expertise to help me find something! (We're still toying with the idea of dancing to "tongue-tied" as our first dance.)

Perhaps something about love/finding a soulmate etc. in order to keep some sort of relevance to the day, but all suggestions are gratefully received!

Much thanks,

Scrapps :)

...the only ones that spring to mind may not be suitable....
"Love is what separates us from the animals."

"Love is a device invented by bank managers to make us overdrawn"

"You know what it's like, man, it's the fourth Law of the universe- you settle down with a woman, and the first thing they do is systematically set about getting rid of all your mates."
I'll have a think about it....congratulations BTW....welcome....and when is the big day? :)

A line I like from Camille is this:

Oh Camille. I'd do anything for you. I'd compute a three million
digit prime number with prime roots if I thought it would make you
happy; I'd evaluate pi to infinity if it would make you smile.

If I think of any more I will let you know.
" So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the King of the Potato People and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you're completely sane?"

thanks for the suggestions everyone, despite giving me much pleasure reviewing Red Dwarf looking for stuff, I'm not sure there's anything that really works though - we're still debating what/whether we're going to use stuff from RD...

thanks again - and if there are any more ideas, please still post them!
